Bishop P. Moses was born into a family of non-believers. His mother, Esther, was from Palakol. She carried the crushing weight of childlessness at a time when such pain brought public shame and blame. She searched everywhere for hope — but found none. Having tried everything else with no answer, Esther chose to believe. By God's grace, she was blessed with a baby girl. Five years later, a second daughter. The community still whispered — no son, they said, means the family name will not continue. Old traditions were cruel. God answered Esther's prayers. She was blessed with a baby boy — Palaparthy Moses. Three years later, another son — Palaparthy Rajubabu. What people had called impossible, God had done. After her husband passed away, Esther moved to her mother's place and began doing God's work. The same community that once blamed her now had to listen. At first many criticised and questioned her. But God moved through her testimony. One by one, hearts opened. More than 2,000 people were baptised because of Esther's witness — a woman who had every reason to give up, but chose faith instead. She served as a pastor in the Indian Pentecostal Church (IPC) under Apostle P.L. Moses received Bible training and, guided by his mother's faith, moved from Poduru to Oduru after his marriage to Mary Kumari. Brahma Cheruvu was a village known for drinking, smoking, witchcraft, and black magic — a place many would have walked away from. Moses obeyed. He went. He shared God's word. Slowly, one by one, men and women who were once lost began to believe. The fire his mother carried under Apostle P.L. Paramjyothi garu still burns. Today Bishop P.
